How it works

1. Add an item

Take a photo (or pick one) and give it a name. That's it.

2. Tap "Bought"

When you restock, tap Bought. SoonEmpty updates your schedule and remembers where.

3. Get reminded

SoonEmpty learns your rhythm and reminds you before you run out.

Now / Soon / Later

Your items are automatically grouped so you instantly see what matters:

Now Overdue / due today
Soon Coming up next (e.g. next 7 days)
Later Not urgent yet (e.g. next 30 days)

Key Features

Photo-first capture

Take a photo and SoonEmpty turns it into a visual card - faster than typing, easier to recognize.

Sync across devices (optional)

Enable iCloud Sync to keep items, purchase history, settings, and photos in sync across devices using the same Apple ID. Notifications stay device-local to avoid duplicates.

Smarter suggestions (optional)

SoonEmpty learns on your device from your corrections. Optionally, you can share anonymized recognition signals so curated community suggestions improve accuracy — without sending photos to EngTwin servers.

One-tap "Bought"

When you restock, tap Bought. SoonEmpty updates the schedule and learns your real cadence over time. If you do this while you're at the store, you'll also get reminded later when you're near that store.

Reminders that don't spam

You set a typical interval. SoonEmpty adjusts gently based on your history.

Near-store reminders

Get reminded when you're near your regular store — powered by iOS geofencing, battery-friendly, without continuous location tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is SoonEmpty free?

Yes — Free supports up to 8 items and 1 store reminder. Upgrade anytime.

Is it a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your data is stored locally. Internet is only needed to purchase/restore Pro — and optionally for iCloud Sync or Community Suggestions.

Does SoonEmpty send data to a server?

By default, no — photos and recognition stay on-device. Optionally, you can enable "Community Suggestions": anonymized recognition signals (e.g. OCR tokens and whether you accepted or changed a suggestion) may be sent to improve curated suggestions. Photos are never sent to EngTwin servers. If you enable iCloud Sync, photos/thumbnails may be stored in your iCloud account.

Does it sync between devices?

Yes! From version 1.2, you can enable iCloud Sync to keep your items, purchase history, and photos in sync across all devices using the same Apple ID.

Does location tracking drain battery?

SoonEmpty uses iOS geofencing — not continuous tracking.

Can I restore Pro on a new phone?

Yes — use Restore Purchases with the same Apple ID.
